Get to know more about Betty

Hello, Iā€™m Betty. A UI/UX designer and visual artist passionate about creating meaningful digital experiences that balance aesthetic appeal with thoughtful functionality. I specialize in translating complex concepts into intuitive interactions where every design element serves a purpose.

I recently earned my Master's in User Experience Design from Pratt Institute, complementing my Bachelor's in Computer Art from the School of Visual Arts. This dual background allows me to approach design challenges with both technical precision and creative vision.

What drives my work is observing those pivotal moments when design seamlessly connects with users - whether it's seeing someone navigate an interface effortlessly or witnessing the instant comprehension of a well-crafted data visualization.

I welcome opportunities to collaborate on projects that make a difference.

As an ENFJ, I thrive on empathy, collaboration, and storytelling, which help me create human-centered, emotionally resonant designs. My ability to understand user needs and inspire creative solutions allows me to craft intuitive and impactful experiences.

2016  "New Journey Start"
This year, my parents considered my studies and wanted me to accept an education system that was more suitable for me.
They decided to bring me to America for a new education. Start a new high school life. Therefore, I came to Colorado and studied at Faith Christian Academy.

2000 "Surprise Gift"

My mother, a devout Buddhist, visited a temple where she prayed to a Bodhisattva for a child, as my parents had been struggling to conceive. Miraculously, on the journey back from the temple, she discovered she was pregnant.
Ten months later, I was born in Haikou, China.

2019  "Step in New York City"

I have loved art, painting, and visual design since I was a child. Later in high school, I chose to apply for art school.
Among the many admissions, I was very inclined to go to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, but in the end, for various reasons, I accepted the invitation to the School of Visual Arts in New York. My journey in New York began.
I still think it is a magical journey.

2023  "Get my diploma"

I graduated from SVA this year. It is a pity that I could not attend the graduation ceremony for personal reasons.

I am grateful to the professors I have met in these four years, especially in my sophomore year, which enabled me to make rapid progress in my major. I have maintained an A grade in my subsequent studies
